Rainbow Bags provide an extensive product range to meet your packaging requirements. Ultimately we specialise in our paper and polythene bags which we provide plain or printed with your own personal design. However, we also offer a variety of other packaging products including bulk papers and bubble wrap.
plastic carriers fall loosely into two main categories: High Density Polythene and Low Density Polythene. The two emerge based on the gauge/micron/density of the polythene which is being used.
High Density Polythene
High Density Polythene (HD) is a fairly strong material. Although it uses a
thinner gauge than low density polythene its formation still enables it to
carry a substantial amount. HD Polythene is most commonly white however a
variety of colours are also available. Carrier bags made from HD Polythene are
often referred to as “one trip” carriers or Butchers Bags. The carriers have a
"crinkle" feel to them.

Low Density Polythene
Low Density Polythene (LD) provides a more quality feel and look to a carrier
bag than high density polythene. There are two styles offered, a patch handle
carrier which has a set gauge polythene with a reinforced handle and also a
vari-gauge carrier whose gauge is doubled to provide the strength around the
handle area. LD Polythene carriers are available in a variety of colours and
are typically used by most high street shops.
